BIOGRAPHY
Jasmine Erica Robinson, known professionally as Jas is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter. Jas has worked her way up in the entertainment industry by sheer hard work, complemented by her natural beauty and melodious voice. Raised on the Southside of Atlanta, GA, Jas grew up listening to the classic sounds of soul music and began singing when she was quite young. Her father would play music around the house and always encourage her to be confident when she sang. The first song her father had her to learn was Celine Dion’s “Because You Loved Me”.
Given her remarkable ability to blend genres, it’s no surprise that Jas has been influenced by a wide variety of artists, from Beyoncé and Lauryn Hill to Whitney Houston, and Anita Baker. Jas is singing and writing relatable music that’s going to describe everyday situations that everyone goes through, “music you can feel”. Even if you haven’t experienced that emotion yet, her music still takes you there. She blends soul, gospel and R&B in music that digs down deep. Jas’ main objective is to try to be a light and touch the hearts of her audience during every performance. With a lifetime ahead of her, fans can look forward to a whole lot more from Jas. “I plan to touch as many people with my music as I possibly can, especially young black girls” says Jas.
